Get ready for a memorable Hawaii photography session with ohwowfotos!
Our team will capture every moment beautifully and guide you with easy posing ideas to make your experience natural and fun. Whether it’s a wedding, family gathering, or couple, we’ll help you feel relaxed so your true emotions shine through. With our expertise, you’ll create unforgettable memories against Maui’s stunning backdrop.
1) Safety is one of our top priorities. We want everyone to enjoy their session while staying safe. While Maui and Hawaii offer breathtaking backdrops, they can also include natural hazards such as sharp lava rocks, slippery surfaces, thorns, and uneven terrain. Please stay aware of your surroundings at all times. Our photographers will do their best to help keep you safe throughout the session.
If you ever feel uncomfortable standing or sitting in a particular spot, don’t hesitate to let your photographer know. We fully respect our clients’ comfort and will happily move to a different, safer location that works for you.
2) If you can take a little time to find and share some inspiration photos and color tones you love, it will help us understand your vision more clearly.
3) Rest, drink, and eat well before the photo session. For toddlers, ensuring they’ve napped beforehand and maintaining a relaxed atmosphere makes a big difference. Rather than applying pressure or force them to look, engaging and playing with them often leads to the most natural, candid moments. Snacks and favorite toys are great for keeping them comfortable and entertained.
4) Be sure to wear sunscreen, and gently remove any white residue to keep your skin looking natural in photos.
5) Try not to rush—moving too quickly can create stress and affect everyone’s mood.
6) It’s helpful to be aware of which areas of your body you feel are less flattering so they can be minimized. As professional photographers, we can guide you to flattering angles, but some features can’t be concealed from every perspective, so choosing styling options or looser-fitting clothing to help provide coverage is often best.
7) Please note that our high-quality cameras capture very detailed and sharp images. Be aware that they may highlight features such as pores and wrinkles. To ensure you look your best, consider applying more makeup, cover up, or using other methods to enhance your appearance.
8) Everyone has different preferences, so it’s important to let your photographer know what you like and don’t like. This can include posing styles, angles, facial sides, lighting, color tones, kissing or no kissing, close-up vs. wide landscape shots, and any specific details you want us to focus on or avoid.
9) Please leave all personal belongings at your hotel or in your car, as we’ll be moving between locations and want to avoid misplaced items or delays from carrying extra things.
10) Get Wet!!! Don’t be afraid to get wet near the end of the session in the water! It is highly encouraged—many of our clients say it’s the most fun and memorable part of the day. Just remember to bring towels!
11) MOST IMPORTANTLY: There’s no pose better than feeling comfortable—just relax and enjoy the fun experience.
12) What to wear: Light color clothes and barefoot are highly recommended for beach theme.
I'm looking forward to serving you! Mahalo!
